How we check reviews

To be honest: we can't know for sure that someone bought, because the sale happens outside Χωριάτικο Καλάθι. Here's what we do, and what we don't.

What each label means

• “Invited by the producer”: the producer made a single-use link after a sale and sent it to the buyer. It's the strongest sign of a real purchase we have.
• “After contact through Χωριάτικο Καλάθι”: the device the review was written on had tapped “Call”, “Viber” or “show number” for that producer.
• “Unverified contact”: we have none of the above. The review is published, but you can see this.

What we always do

• One review per device/connection per producer within 60 days, unless it comes from a new invitation link.
• Rate limits and traps for bots.
• Every review has a “Report” button. Reports are read by a person.
• The producer can reply publicly, once, under each review.
• If we remove a review, we tell the person who wrote it why (if they gave us an email address).

What we don't do

• We don't delete negative reviews because a producer asks us to. We only remove them if they are false, offensive, off-topic or break the law.
• We don't pay for reviews and we don't accept payment for them. Producers are not allowed to give gifts or discounts in exchange for a review.
• We don't change their order or their content. They appear in the order they were written, newest first.

How we rank products

If a visitor has set their area, we first show producers who deliver there or send by courier; the visitor can always see the rest with one click. Within each list: available items first, then sold-out ones, then by date of last update, unless the visitor chooses to sort by price or rating. In producer lists: first the “stall of the week” (we choose it ourselves, with no payment), then verified producers, then the most recently updated. There are no paid placements and no paid promotion.
