How it works

Χωριάτικο Καλάθι is a market without a till. Here you find the producer; the buying happens between the two of you, just like at the weekly street market.

If you're buying

1. Tell us where you liveChoose your region under “My area” and you'll only see producers who deliver there or send by courier. It stays on your device; we don't ask for an address.
2. SearchType what you want (“honey”, “eggs”, “trahanas”) or pick a category. Greek written in Latin letters (Greeklish) works too.
3. See who they areEvery stall has a face, a village, photos from the fields, prices, and reviews from people who bought before you.
4. Talk to themTap “Call” or “Viber”. No account needed. Agree together on quantity, price, payment and how you'll get it.
5. Or order hereSay how much you want, when, and how you'll get it, and a chat with the producer opens. You need a free account (name, mobile, password), and it keeps your history, favourites and points. Here's how.
6. Share your opinionAfter you buy, write a review. Two minutes that help the next person and reward a good producer. Reviews never earn points or gifts, so they stay honest.

If you're selling

You open a stall with your mobile number, add your products and share your link wherever you like. All the “whys” are here.

What we don't do

• We don't sell anything ourselves. We don't take payments, we don't ship, and we don't guarantee delivery.
• We take no commission and we have no say over prices.
• We don't inspect every product by hand. We check producers by phone (the “Verified” badge), remove anything reported as illegal or fake, and ask for a registration or licence number where the law requires one.

Buying safely, in person or by delivery

• Choose producers with reviews and the verified badge.
• For deliveries, agree on cash on delivery or payment when you collect. Don't pay large sums in advance to someone you don't know.
• Ask for a photo of the label for honey, olive oil, cheese and jams: it must show the producer and a registration or KIMO number.
• If something goes wrong, tell us and leave a review.
